Video Segments of an Ear-tipped Injured Feral Cat

This video footage was taken near a rest area of the NJ Turnpike in 2003. The grey cat shown in the video is ear-tipped and injured. You will see the cat sitting on a metal bar. Note the swollen right leg. You will see the cat attempt to climb over the metal bar. You will then see the cat dragging the back right leg, escaping capture by going under a fence. The cat was later found nearby - dead.

How could anyone consider this to be an ethical or compassionate outcome for this animal?

Life outdoors is NEVER in the best interest of the cat.

Video footage provided by an Animal Control Officer in New Jersey. Video may take a few minutes to download.
